Gorgeous heavy lidded dish, definitely one of a kind.
It is inscribed “Dave the potter” on the bottom but I do not think this pot was made by THE Dave the potter from the 1800s.
I think probably just a really great potter named Dave, likely somewhere in Ontario but I can’t find any more details about him than I found this beauty in Brantford 😂
I’m obsessed with the fun swirly top handle and the scratched details. For some reason it reminds me of a fancy mushroom but IDK mushrooms that well.
